1960 Fender Stratocaster

images via this auction

"The guitar is marked 11/60, in the trim. cavity and 12/60, on the end of the neck. The electronics are original--the 3-way switch knows the in-between positions; the pots operate smoothly (they're marked 304-6045); the original pickups sound great, with the vast array of vintage Strat tone. Plastic is in beautiful aged, vintage condition; pickguard is green, slightly shrunken (tilt on neck pickup causes fretted high E string to sound close enough to an E to be a thrilling end to blues solo); the back cover has a hairline screw whole crack on one corner (top, treble side). Everything on the guitar is original, except the tuning machines were replaced with reissues in the 80's, but the original screws and ferrules are installed and the original Kluson Deluxe tuners are in the case, with the original chrome bridge cover"

The guitar pictured is my #1. These pic's were acquired, by someone unknown to me, from my ebay listing, from last year. I decided not to sell the guitar, as I've owned it since 1972 and am too attached to it, to part with it. It is a killer ax that's been through a lot with me. I came across this blogsite, while searching for vintage Stratocaster info.
