1967 Vintage Gibson ES-335

images via this auction
"1967 Gibson ES-335 in original "Cherry Red" Finish and factory Bigsby that beautifully shows the lines of the wood underneath it (my Justin Haywayd special - only his was a '64). The body has absolutely NO CHECKING that seems to be typical of instruments of this age and vintage, and there are no belt buckle marks or scratches on the back. Only the front of the headstock has some minor checking (see picture). It is all original and it sounds incredible. This guitar is indeed a hallmark item from Gibson and a collector's item that will only appreciate in value. Comes with 5-latch hard shell case.

Serial number 1183xx (1964, 1967) is stamped into the back of the headstock. It has the one-piece mahogany neck, no volute, no "made in USA" stamp under the s/n, orange label, rounded cutaway "Mickey Mouse" ears, chrome bridge with chrome (not plastic) saddles ('66-on), PAF's (decal, denoting '62-'65) and other accoutrements characteristic of a '64. The nut width is 1 5/8" ('65-'67), which combined with the serial number, makes it, in all probability a '67."
