1968 GIBSON LES PAUL STANDARD sign by Les Paul

images via this auction
signed by Les himself ! !
Description: Serial number 503815. We have been provided the following description: “Serial # 503851 found on back of head. No mods have been done to my knowledge. No repairs need to be done.” Based upon examination of the photos, this instrument appears to be in exceptionally fine original condition. It conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made with mahogany back and neck (each of one-piece construction), rosewood fingerboard with white binding and pearloid trapezoid inlays, unbound peghead with Gibson pearl peghead logo and decal Les Paul model logo, white trimmed black truss rod cover, white binding on the top edge of the body with binding being thicker in the cutaway, single ply white pickguard (this guard has been autographed by Les Paul), two single coil P-90 pickups, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, chrome plated metal hardware, metal capped tone and volume knobs, gold lacquer top finish, and clear “natural” finish on the neck and back. This is a model which would be of interest to collectors as well as musicians. The Les Paul autograph gives the instrument some added memorabilia appeal although it should be noted that Les Paul has signed numerous guitars such that his autograph is not rare.

Current market value: $20,000 (twenty thousand dollars)"
