1961 Vintage Fender Stratocaster

via this auction
"1961 Vintage Fender Stratocaster, Slab Board neck, Original pickups and Mint Green guard. Older very nice pro refin on body, neck probably oversprayed with original decal. Most who see this guitar think it's 100% original as the finish looks the part. Pickups are original, though have been wrapped with black pickup tape to protect the windings."

69 Gibson Les Paul Standard

via this auction
According to the seller:
"Thank you for visiting my offering of a very significant and early 1969 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop serial number 558907. I have owned this guitar since the summer of 1971. At the time I purchased it, it had been stripped of its gold paint and finished naturally on top, which was common at the time. It also had a PAF humbucker installed in place of the P-90 neck pickup. I played this guitar in that form for many years and during that time met John McLaughlin (Mahavishnu) of the Mahavishnu Orchestra as a follower of Indian Guru Sri Chinmoy in Queens, New York. John, along with Carlos Santana (Devadip) gigged together at that time and both of them enjoyed playing my Les Paul. During one of John’s roadtrips in 1972/73, he asked to borrow the Les Paul while I carved a “bird of fire” on his Les Paul Junior. He used it as a backup to his Gibson double neck as well as a practice guitar for backstage.

Once I completed the work on his Junior, I got my guitar back and used it in that form until the early nineties. I had some minor work done on a 1954 Strat I owned at the time, by acclaimed luthier John Buscarino, and he said he could refinish the Goldtop back to original Gibson standards. He also swapped back out the PAF for the P-90 cream top pickup. John did a magnificent job and continues to build some of the finest custom instruments in the world.

This is one of the earlier 69’s with the carved maple top and the mahogany one piece neck and body. The finish on the neck and back has the typical crazing but is still in very nice shape. It has aged to a very nice honey gold and the binding has yellowed with age as well. The original Kluson Deluxe tuners are straight and true. I even have the original hang tag"

1960 Fender Telecaster Vintage Candy Apple Red

via this auction
"It is all original. It was sent back to the Fender factory in 1964 to match the headstock to the body's Candy Apple Red finish. A new decal was also affixed at this time. The work is evidenced by the stamp on the neck."

SRV Lenny Fender Strat Senior Master Built

via this auction
"Made by Senior Master Builder Todd Krause:

Calling Todd Krause the “Builder to the Stars” would be a vast understatement. He maintains and builds guitars for Fender signature artists Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Stu Hamm and Roscoe Beck. Further, he has built custom instruments for Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bob Dylan, Roger Waters and Gene Simmons, to name only a few.

Krause’s guitar-building apprenticeship began in March 1981 at Jackson/Charvel guitars. He started at Fender in 1991 and quickly donned many hats, including that of a one-off builder, R&D model maker, woodworking machinist, and, eventually, master builder.

Weighs 7.4lbs."

Vintage 1951 Fender Precision Bass Jethro Tull

via this auction
"vintage 1951 Fender P-Bass for... Glenn Cornick who played bass for the amazing Jethro Tull on the first three records...The best ones! Glenn is fastidious in his concern about an instrument's playability and this bass leaves nothing to be desired as far as a true vintage guitar might deliver. This one has been around the block...refinished...rewound...reworked. Glenn has owned this bass for right around thirty years (as the crow flies) and is well acquainted with what has been done to it. She has a Lindy Fralin rewound pickup. Neck and body refinished years ago in the most perfect order...numbers are visible. Minor nicks here and there...just regular play wear throughout. The worst being a patch about the size of a quarter on the bass bout from being moved about in the case that doesn't detract from the vintage look. Original pickguard...mostly original hardware..."

1968 Fender Telecaster

via this auction
"Here is an early1968 Fender Telecaster retaining most of the "PRE CBS" manufacturing quality and components. The guitar is 100% original. This Telecaster is in excellent shape. It is very clean. More important it plays and sounds great. There is some wear on the back of the body and some marks here and there and some minor checking.

The serial number is 245397.
The guitar weighs in at 8 lbs., 1.8 oz.
The neck pickup rates at 2.40."
