"For sale is a perfect example of a late 1959 Stratocaster with some incredible history. I purchased this guitar 25 years ago from a retiree of the "Ed Sullivan Show". It had apparently been part of their backline. I also have a standup bass from the show and an old "Supremes" road case (very cool) Over the years, this guitar has graced the hands of most of the artists that autographed it and in some cases they didn't want to give it back, a few of them playing it for entire shows. It is the best playing and sounding Strat I have ever owned.

It has the typical late 59 faded 3 tone sunburst and the unstamped neck and smacks of vibe. The guitar has its original brown case, which is very clean since most of it's life the case was never used. The guitar is very light, resonant, and plays great. It has been re-fretted and there may be a few minor parts changed over the years but it is 99% original. The finish, pickups, tuners, guard, decal, parts, and electronics, etc. are 100% original. The visible date code on one of the pots is 304-5948.

The serial number is 47489.

The guitar weighs in at 7 lbs., 3.6 oz."
