"There are some guitars where no substitutes will do. A 50's Gibson will usually land on that list. This ES-175D is truly one to lust after. No doubt that Gibson had totally found their electric groove by 1958. Their new humbucking pickup paired up perfectly with their fully hollow ES-175 D. The fat and creamy tone is one for the ages. Articulate and expressive too. All maple top and back, mahogany sides, one piece mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. And what a neck! One of the most comfortable carves ever. No doubt that this one is looker. There's no better look for an old Gibson than a classic sunburst. It's the little touches that really make a vintage piece cool. Something that tells a story or puts it in historical context. This one has two vintage pin-up girl decals by the selector switch that are almost as cool as the guitar itself. 100% complete!"
