1965 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst

via this auction where you'll find more pics.

"Here's a real workhorse! 1965 Fender Stratocaster. This guitar had a 1956 neck on it for years and at some point, a decade or so ago, a "13DEC65B" neck was added. The neck has a little beef to it (I'd call it a "large medium") and has been refretted with 6100 sized frets. The sunburst body is worn but completely original. "L" plate serial #. 3 original grey bottom pickups... the middle one was re-wound RWRP... the other two have never been touched although the magnets have been pushed flush by an ambitious finger-style roots player! Pots and 5 way are not original... but the 3 way is in the case - along with 5 original tuners. Knobs, bridge, block, pickguard, backplate, jackplate, etc. are all original. This guitar weighs in at a magical (for alder!) 7.5 lbs. It plays and sounds magnificent!.."
