Rare 1964 Epiphone Embassy Deluxe Bass

via this auction where you'll find more pics.

"The king of Epiphone basses, built in the Kalamazoo factory in 1964. Gibson made 507 of these between 1963 and 1969. This is one of 151 made in 1964. Essentially Gibson's glued-neck version of the dual pickupThunderbird IV bass, featuring a 34" scale length and identical nickel-plated hardware. Original Epi knobs, pickguard, bridge, tuners and pickup covers. It even has the original string mutes. This bass is moderately neck-heavy (like most of them) and hangs at horizontal. The long, "batwing" headstock has never been broken and the cherry finish is un-yellowed and lightly checked. One small spot of finish missing from the back of the neck , typical micro-cracks around three of the pickguard screw holes and an extra set of pickup cover screw holes. Has the unique sound that vintage Thunderbird players love! Overall condition is a very collectible 9. With original gray, blue-interior case and hanging booklet..."
