"Here's a 1959 (according to the serial number) Epiphone Emperor Thinline. It's finish is sunburst and appears to be completely original.

These guitars are very rare and were made in very limited numbers. This one has 3 PAT# mini humbuckers, Frequensator tailpiece, Grover Imperial gears, and Carousel knobs. The headstock has the ornate inlays of the Emperor and the neck has the beautiful inlays in the fretboard. There is some typical "wing separation" on the back of the headstock but it is not structural at all.

The neck is straight and it plays and sounds fantastic.

The Humbuckers sound killer and are very strong. The guitar is light and resonant and plays perfectly. The action is low,the guitar is clean with no belt buckle, and there virtually no playing wear at all. A great 'Jazz-box'"
