1961 Gibson Les Paul SG Electric Solid Body Guita

"1961 Gibson Les Paul w/ side-pull vibrato, serial # 16258. This guitar is a super cool example of what the "new" Les Paul was supposed to be. This guitar has a mahogany body and neck and a bound rosewood fingerboard with trapazoid inlays. It was meant to be a players guitar compared to the old Les Paul - lighter, easier access to all frets, and a new vibrato system! This guitar weighs only 6.8lbs, has a nut width of 1 11/16", and a neck depth of .80" at the 5th fret. The pickups have been replaced with custom High Order A2 pickups. The bridge is wound to 8.3k ohms and the neck is wound to 8.1k ohms. This guitar sounds incredible with these pickups. The bridge pickup is fuller and warmer than most guitars' neck pickups without sacrificing clarity. The neck pickup is thick and rich with tone and provides you with just the right amount of bite. The guitar has had a new nut installed and has been re-fretted, allowing you to play this guitar effortlessly. Structurally the body, neck, and headstock are all in great condition. The back of the neck has been very worn down over the years and the body has finish crazing throughout the guitar, only adding to the cool vintage feel this guitar possesses. The unique side-pull tremolo makes using a vibrato very easy compared to traditional vibratos and definitely adds to the uniqueness of this guitar. The side-pull vibrato has made a scratch on the body where the arm moves back and forth. There is a non-original, brand new Gibson hardshell SG case included with this guitar. If you want to get your hands a great playing '61 Les Paul, this is the guitar for you!"
