"The PRS Custom finished in Vintage Yellow with bird inlays and a sweet switch is THE quintessential vintage PRS. This is the image that you see when you think of a vintage Paul Reed Smith guitar and it is this very configuration that captured the imaginations of guitarists worldwide back in 1985 and still to this day defines what a PRS should look like.

This guitar has been played. It shows the signs of frequent use and player wear, and that is for good reason as it plays and sounds amazing. This guitar was built mid year in 1986 and has the cocked wah sound, early iteration T and B pickups, the early sweet switch and rotary selector.

The Original T&B pickups have been taken out and reinstalled as you can tell by the solder joints.

Though it has a few nicks and dings, the Eastern maple top is gorgeous and has a very interesting pattern in the flamed maple. This collectible 1986 PRS Custom is priced far less than one in mint condition but it is one that you will reach for every time and not be afraid to take out and gig with. Original 1985 and 1986 PRS Customs with birds in Vintage Yellow are highly sought after and are commanding high prices. Here is one that is somewhat more affordable that you will love to play and collect! Serial: 6 1696 Comes with Original Hardshell Case"
