CANADA: Fender Stratocaster 1960

"THIS GUITAR IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO BIDDERS WITHIN CANADA...

DUE TO RESTRICTIONS ON THE EXPORT/IMPORT OF THE BRAZILIAN SLABBOARD NECK.

SERIAL #: 48191 (assembled from various period correct authentic parts)

Work done by Eiichi Ishakawa of Shuriya Guitarcraft:

-nitro lacquer over sprayed headstock to seamlessly match worn patina

-second string tree hole filled with maple dowel hand cut on lathe and finish blended -new period correct decal purchased from Fender

-period correct pick guard, switch, jack/cup, tuners, knobs and covers installed

- neck pickup: black bottom '59 - '62

-middle pickup: Curtis Novak re-wound ’58

-bridge pickup: 1969 Grey Bobbin

-brass nut installed

-body sanded and refinished, believed done in 1965

- 5-way switch (not period correct)

- original mint green 3-ply pick guard has no cracks but was slightly sanded down in the small "V" curve where it meets the neck.

- correct bridge assembly

- includes original period correct case, considerable wear with 1 broken latch.

AMAZING vintage tone, would need to be re-fretted at some point as the frets are low mostly towards the headstock...very playable for now."
