1963 Fender Stratocaster Strat

via this auction

"Up for a no reserve auction is a vintage 1963 Fender Stratocaster with original blonde hardshell case original to the guitar. I will try to walk you through this extremely cool piece of Pre-CBS Fender history. The neck is completely original with a date stamp of 2OCT63B (see pic #3). It has a beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with clay dots(Pic #9), straight neck with working truss rod, original frets, decal ( see pic #8) , string tree, original Kluson tuners(pic#6), and finish. It has the original inspection marks on the neck pocket (see pic 11). In pic #7 is the correct original L Plate with serial number (L19844) dating also to 1963 with original neck plate screws. The tremolo system is all original with original patent pending saddles, block, and tremolo arm. The pickguard is all original and is the Green Nitrate pickguard. It does have the standard crack by the bass side of the neck pickup. It has the original pickguard shield with the original inspection stamp and "Mary" in red (see pic #4). All the knobs and pickup covers are original. The pots, tone capacitor, and yes even the original 3 way switch are still present. The body is original with no routes and still sports the "S" pencil mark for sunburst on the body (See Pic #5). The body has the correct worm route in lead pickup cavity. The body has been expertly refinished and aged to the correct 63 burst color to match the hardware and wear of the instrument. The pickups are all original and sound fantastic and is why players desire these old Fenders. Tone to die for. It has the original jack cup and appears the wires were cut from the jack to the pots when refin rather then unsoldered. The guitar does have the original tremolo rear cover and is included but not in photos however has serveral screw hole broke but useable and original. The case is original to the guitar and is useable fair condition (see pic #12). The leather on the ends is worned and one end latch is missing. Interior is decent and has some wear normal to a 63 case. The guitar has great low action, plays and sounds great. I am a hobbyist, player, and someone who love old Fenders. I am not a dealer..."
