1955 Gibson Les Paul Standard

via this auction

"This guitar has an absolutely stunning patina, acquired over 58 years of organic aging.

The neck is beautiful, medium profile, perfect original frets, binding in excellent shape, inlays original and perfect. Logo is perfect, serial number clear and vivid.

Neck angle is excellent, neck heel is perfect (see pics) and the guitar plays like a dream. Bridge is not leaning. The P90's are strong and growl as only a mid 50's P90 does. No cracks, breaks, or repairs to the wood on this guitar of any kind, ever. I believe the tuners to be original to the guitar as well, and they are functioning perfectly. Guitar weighs 8.75 pounds.

Finish shows quite a lot of lovely checking with surface nicks and dings, and the back shows some belt buckle wear which I have tried to show in the photos. Back of the neck has an amazing patina that looks and feels wonderful in your hand, again something that would be impossible to replicate except by years of playing.

The overall presentation of the guitar is a gorgeous, authentic patina of an awesome 50's Les Paul that has made a lot of great music over the years.

This sale also includes the original 4 latch Gibson case..."
